CAMSTEAD DEVELOP MORE THAN JUST HOMES

At Camstead Homes we consider continued development within everyday life to be essential. Many of our own developments were originally brown field sites, which have been redeveloped to compliment the area they stand in, in order to provide an important landmark for the wider community. To further this achievement, we believe we should help our local community develop alongside us, whether this is through better sporting facilities, better healthcare for children or artistic development.

What better way to provide our community with better sporting facilities than through sponsoring and supporting the complete redevelopment of Cambridge Rugby Club’s clubhouse?

This timely transformation, combined with their outstanding success last season gaining promotion to National 2 (after becoming 2005/6 Winners National 3 South), has helped to position CRUFC as the leading club in the Eastern Counties. Visit www.crufc.co.uk to find out more information about the club and opportunities to the ‘Camstead Suite’ as a venue for prestigious events.

Camstead were proud to be one of the main corporate sponsors of the Snow Fair 2005, which provided much needed funding for the Paediatric Oncology Department and Child Development Centre at Addenbrooke’s Hospital.

The funds raised will go towards the costs of building new wing to improve access for the disabled and enhance the surroundings for patients and their families. During 2006 Camstead will continue to support this vital work.

Our focus is not, however, limited to sporting achievement and healthcare. We also believe in encouraging artistic achievement within our local community and feel we can best do this through our sponsoring, for the fourth year running, of Cambridge Open Studios. Our sponsorship last year culminated in a magnificent exhibition at the Auditorium at Fitzwilliam College, which attracted a wide variety of artists working in different media.

This November the sponsorship will also include a charity auction at The Camstead Suite at Cambridge Rugby Club. For more details on the artists exhibiting at this year’s event visit www.camopenstudios.co.uk
