A community nestling between the ancient and the modern

Linton is a large village in rural Cambridgeshire, close to the Essex border. It lies about 10 miles south of Cambridge and 6 miles north of Saffron Walden, with fast approach roads to both. Excellent local facilities are readily available in the village itself, with good shopping, including a baker's, a barber's, a hairdresser, a vet practice, a gym and a soft play centre. These contribute to a true community feel – as do the three pubs, dentist and village health centre. The village's four schools comprise an infants school; a primary school; a school for students with special educational needs; and the renowned Linton Village Academy which also serves several neighbouring villages and has excellent sports facilities.
